WHAT DRIVES ME
I enjoy working where science, technology and entrepreneurship meet. The most interesting challenges are rarely purely technical. They involve people, priorities, uncertainty and difficult decisions. Over the years, I have learned that successful product development requires more than strong technology, especially in system developments. It requires alignment between science, engineering, business and execution.
This is where I enjoy contributing most – helping teams gain clarity, overcome bottlenecks and move forward with confidence.
Whether supporting a founder, guiding a development team or helping investors assess technology opportunities, my goal is always the same: turning potential into tangible progress and success.

From R&D Scientist to Head of Applied Testing:
Established and led QIAGEN's Applied Testing R&D Competence Center and strategic development activities. Business Segment Leadership Team Member.
From 2001-2009, developed multiplex PCR assays, reagents and sample-to-result technologies and launched multiple products across life science and diagnostics markets.

Senior leadership role driving reagent and multiplex molecular point-of-care syndromic testing IVD system development through Series C financing and successful exit to QIAGEN.

The goal of this project was to analyse the market footprint, product offering and develop a strategy around enzyme products for the Life Science market segment.
Mid-sized Life Science and MDX Enzyme Components Supplier Europe
MDx Assay Cartridge: Manufacturing Line.
Outcome of this project was a validated manufacturing line for a small, room-temperature stable in-vitro-diagnostic assay cartridge with assay for diagnosis of an infectious-disease. The cartridge is launched as CE IVD in Europe, and FDA trials in the USA are ongoing.
Middle sized Diagnostics Company Belgium
Integrated Test Cartridge: Cost analysis & Optimization Strategy.
The client was a diagnostics start-up company developing a novel integrated sample-to-result cartridge.
VC financed Point-of-Care MDx Start-Up Europe
Point-of-Care Test Cartridge: Reagents.
In this project the client developed a new integrated sample to results cartridge for in-vitro-diagnostics and we helped them to get the right reagents for fast-PCR and room-temperature storage.
